Thanksgiving and the real meaning of the Day

I was talking to my step-daughter Megan on Thanksgiving and was joking that it was a day for food, family and football (Megan doesn't watch, understand or like football) and that this was a day to recognize the one truly American sport of football and not that European version known as soccer.
The conversation was all in fun.
I am thankful that I get to share a little of Megan's life and her addition in my life is a treasure. She is my daughter now and I am the proud parent of two beautiful young ladies and their wonderful families and I am thankful for them.
I failed to say to Megan that Thanksgiving is a recognized holiday when we as Americans express our thanks to GOD and his divine providence. It is His providence and not luck that has made us a great nation. It is, has and hopefully will always be a day when we as a nation pause and reflect on the Almighty and breathe a prayer of Thanksgiving.
We do have so many reasons to be thankful.

The vote on Issue 2 went as expected

The bane of a lot of Ohio's problems raised it's ugly head and voted down the Governor's new law. Union Heads like Trumka were on the tube talking their lies and bragging after spending millions to retain their power. It was an anti-union law. Unions are killing this country and this state on the back of the lowly taxpayer. In Ohio we know all about taxes. I just looked at my taxes paid so far this year and it was frightening.
Thankfully we did vote down Obama's healthcare initiative. Former Governor Strickland stepped in it when discussing it with Greta on Fox News. He said the vote was meaningless and the voters were "uninformed". Thankfully he is no longer our Governor.

Issue 2

Issue 2 is a measure done by our Republican Congress in Ohio to prevent some of the runaway control of powerful unions in our state and to make our state competitive for jobs. I have no control over adverizing on my blog and I noticed after my last post that there was an d ad to vote no on issue 2- we should vote yes on issue 2.
We can not allow union power to control our state and cripple economic development and continue to abuse the tax paying public.

Why I haven't posted in a while

I regretfully haven't posted in a long while and my friend Rick asked why. The truth is that I have been sick & frustrated by all I see around me. There is no end to what I could say about Obama unless I simply say in to response as to whether we can believe him, well...are his lips moving. One example is in his latest , greatest jobs bill a.ka. "much of the same" he blames Republicans for not passing it when his own Democratic controlled Senate won't bring it to a vote and when the Republicans in the House or Sentate propose something those same Democrats in the Senate either vote down or ignore it.
Here in OHIO we are facing a vote down of the bill our Senate passed because of protests and money spent by UNION Thugs and their great power and Ohioans have such a short memory of the kind of man Kaisich is and how he was instrumental in transforming the economy and balancing the budget (along with jack Kemp) when he was in Washington.

I am really concerned that we have dumbed down our children as the protest on Wall Street and elsewhere such as San Dieago, Washington, Richmond and elsewhere has proved. It is all enough to make sensible people puke...
