Another Day that Congress shows their colors and lack of Courage and Sense

The President is starting to discuss the Afghan problem and it looks like he might take two weeks or two months to decide...this is not a new problem and he still doesn't know what to do...then we have John Kerry and the Dems in the Senate rename the Cap and Trade bill because supposedly the American people don't understand. The people understand but the congress doesn't. We know it's a "Cap & Tax" and a farce.
Some no-known congressman from Florida says the Republican health Care plan is one that requires people to die quickly and then today he likens it to the Holocaust. He didn't have the honesty to explain that the Republicans have plans that weren't allowed on the floor and allowed no input in the committee meetings in the Congress. We will all be dead and broke it the Dems get their way. By the way, there is nothing public about the public option, it is a government option and the same Gov't that doesn't have the sense to place the bill on the internet( Sen. Baucus said they don't know how to put it on the net so the people can read all 1,000 pages) expects us to believe they can run healthcare.

A Great Fiction Author

If you haven't read the author Tim Downs you have missed a treat, especially his "Bug Man " series. I just finished his latest "The Ends of the Earth". It is a quick read. His first in the series was "Shoo Fly Pie" followed by "Chop Shop". He's a Christian writer who is not preachy , but rather a great suspense writer with a quirky main character.

From the Patriot Post about the Race Issue

"Obama and his commissars are labeling Americans who just happen to oppose Cap & Trade, billions for clunkers and to the havoc the leftists are trying to wreak on our health care system, as brainless sheep. Large groups of citizens rise up to voice their grievances and he calls them mobs, claims that grass roots are really made of Astroturf and tells his minions to ape the Soviets and rat out their friends and neighbors. Some people I know refer to what Obama is doing as social engineering. I think it's something even worse: socialist engineering. I wonder if anyone else has noticed that whenever a black conservative voices an opinion, the liberal claque insists that he's not an authentic black, and when a white conservative voices an opinion, Obama's sycophants insist he's not an authentic American. When Obama was running for the presidency, a few of us Paul Revere wannabes were warning you: 'The reds are coming! The reds are coming!' Naturally, Obama, a born and bred race hustler who learned his lessons well from Jeremiah Wright, wanted you to believe that the only reason people could possibly have for opposing him was his race. But it was never about the color of his skin. It was always about the color of his politics." --columnist Burt Prelutsky

Jimmy Carter again!

Jimmy Carter said that I am a racist. He said this of ALL who disagree with Obama's health plan. I DISAGREE. Race is not at issue here. The health plan has nothing to do with race. It has everything to do with common sense. It has everything to do with being afraid of being saddled with another big gov't program that will not work and will be run ineffectively and very expensively. I am not a racist. Blackness is not Obama's problem, being a socialist who understands nothing of America's greatness and being a community organizer who took millions of dollars from a Chicago based organization that did not improve education for Chicago's kids and had no experience to be President. Obama's problem is that he continues to be surrounded by radicals (not just liberals) and has lousy schemes to support like Cap and Trade otherwise known as "Cap and Tax". It was revealed by the CBO today that the average tax increase for each American family if Cap and Trade is approved by the Senate will be over 1700 dollars a year. So much for the President's promise not to tax anyone making under $250,000. Call, email, write your senator and say no to this stupid , energy killing bill. Here in Ohio I read the other day tat each county will lose 2,5oo-2,700+ jobs a year. That is each year, in Ohio alone 200,000 jobs each year for the next 20 years.

Let me get back to JC our former Prez that Reagan delivered us from. JC brought us 14% inflation and 20% interest rates and gas rationing and failed foreign policies and a dislike of Israel. He is welcomed by radicals, communist regimes and Islamic leaders around the globe. There is a reason he was a one term President. According to Jimmy Carter I am a racist. According to me he is an idiot.

Let us never forget 9/11

I have been watching FNC's remembrances of 9/11. These 8 yrs. later t is still almost unbelievable. Acts of terrorism followed by acts of bravery. Acts of cowards contrasted with heros. Remember the dancing in the streets in the Middle East and the contrast that with the people running from the towers as they fell, the people at the Pentagon and the brave, brave people of Flight 93.

We must never, never, never forget. I tell you the problems in our country are closely linked to those who have either forgotten or who absolutely do not care or at the least care little. God help us renew the Spirit of America
that has driven this nation to best the greatest around the world.

It is absolutely offensive to me that the President calls for a "service" day to commemorate this day when what we need to do is simply remember this day. Service is no new thing to America, it is what this country is all about. Whether by church missionaries the globe, Doctors without borders, the giving of monies, the peace corp or a multitude of things too numerous to number service is what our nation has demonstrated as no other. Where has this President been? We lack not in sacrifices but we are beginning to lack in the Spirit of America. It is simply sad. The purpose of this day is to be remembered now. To let us not forget that we have enemies who despise us and seek us harm.

This Is what the Wall Street Journal says...

"Democrats have wanted President Obama to drop some of his cool and fight for their health-care agenda, and last night they weren't disappointed. The President gave away very little on the substance of what Congressional leaders are proposing, even as he offered a rhetorical bow or two to the idea of compromise. The main message of his speech to Congress is that he is doubling down on his health-care bets and counting on the sheer inertia of Democratic and health industry self-interest in Washington to drive a bill into law. The speech was especially notable for its use of one of Mr. Obama's favorite rhetorical devices: Noting in the first instance that his opponents have a good point, and entirely legitimate concerns, only to reject their ideas in toto when it comes to policy. Thus he endorsed the public's concern about the competence of government to manage one-sixth of the economy, only to finish with a soaring oration about the moral necessity of letting government do so." --The Wall Street Journal

Rush has it right

"It was disgusting and it was reprehensible and it was predictable. ... The office of the president of the United States was demeaned last night. President Barack Obama gave a grossly inappropriate and ... embarrassing speech, a campaign speech disguised as a big speech to a joint session of Congress. It was grossly inappropriate in content. There were lies, falsehoods, distortions, it was embarrassing in tone. He called his critics liars when his own positions have been proven to be untrue. ... It was dishonest. It demeaned the office of the presidency. ... It was an awful speech. He was petulant; he was childish; he was a community organizer and agitator; he lied; he was divisive; he attacked me; he attacked Sarah Palin; he attacked conservative Republicans in Congress who dare to challenge government-run health care. He continued to attack tens of millions of Americans who spent the summer attending town hall meetings. It was crude. It was disgusting. The most crude and disgusting performance by any president I have seen." --radio talk-show host Rush Limbaugh

Liar, Liar Pants on Fire

I'm listening to the Prez's healthcare speech and I am getting more and more nauseous. I am watching Pelosi and Biden and a partisan group applauding when he says,"I just want to keep the insurance companies honest". I say"who is keeping this man and his cronies honest"? Does he not know that the Dept. of Insurance and the Insurance commissioners and the Medicare programs determine that profits are limited. Out of every dollar of premiums received a certain amount set by those entities has to go to paying claims.

When the Prez mentioned "Tort Reform" the Republicans gave a standing O and the Democrats did not. How typical.

How do I know he is lying. If he honestly believed his own rhetoric about the "public option" and his analogy that a diversity of colleges creates competition then he would not cut off the vouchers to the poor kids in the DC schools that the Dept. of ED did this past week.

Don't believe the slick talk and the skills of reading a TelePrompTer. This is another big gov't program that will tax us into oblivion and intrude in our lives in ways that are unimaginable today. God Help Us all.

Lies, lies and more lies

I was listening to Charlie Rose and heard again the standard lie that the insurance companies can "drop whoever they want" . I have heard this numerous times a day. I have seen insurance companies pay claims that they were not in the contract liable to pay. I have seen an insurance policy I sold save a life and save a business. It is a lie to say that a policy will not pay when it is in the contact to do so. It is not true. They are contracts and the contracts cannot arbitrarily be broken even by the insurance companies. Two things will end coverage, non-payment and exhausting of limits. Most policies have limits of 2, 3 & 5 Million now. When I first got in the industry in 1988 the usual limits were 1 million. The Prez and his cronies can arbitrarily lie and not be contested. He also made a promise to never increase the deficit. He cannot keep that promise. It is impossible. It is pointless to say it or believe it.

Were his lips moving?

I'm in insurance sales and have always thought about the joke about the salesman that you knew he was lying when his lips were moving. Well the Prez spoke in a strong voice his healthcare plan where he again seeks to demonize and destroy the insurance companies again and specifically called Sarah Palin a liar about the death panels. He also said that "...there is a danger of having too little government". When have we EVER had that problem in the last 100 years? There is no danger in too little government our danger has been, is and continuing to be TOO MUCH Government! Can any reasonable person possibly truly believe that adding a 900 BILLION healthcare program will not add to the deficit? The other great question is has the government bureaucracy ever efficiently done much of anything? Why deliver to them 1/6th or 1/7 th of our GNP over to a group of people that have a track record of abuse, loss, underestimating of real costs and $600. toilet seats.

Nothing new here and no surprises. One Republican Congressman from S.C. yelled out "liar" at the Prez during his longwinded speech , it was in poor taste but possibly the only truth spoken tonight.

Do you remember the Prez's analogy of the Healthcare Dilemma ?

Earlier this summer the Prez gave analogies of those evil doctors who do surgery by removing tonsils and amputating legs of diabetics because they make more money. He obviously doesn't understand that PC Doctors
do preventative care , etc. and surgeons do the removal of body parts. He showed a complete lack of understanding and simply grandstanded with his analogies. On TV they call this "Fear Factor" and it would have been if the American people are as stupid as he thinks. I personally felt at the time that he must be an "empty suit" and some kind of "airhead" foisted on the American people by slick ad campaigns with the help of the mainstream media who wanted him over anything right of him and with the help of a TelePrompTer. I say all this to remind you at first he blamed the "evil Doctors" for the rising cost of healthcare NOW he is blaming the "evil Healthcare Companies". When this has failed he now is blaming the "evil town hall-ers" who are too stupid, too right wing, and the typical so-called "mind numbed robots" of the right who are subverting the will of the people (like Congress who insist they know more than their constituents) . Listen tonight if you can stomach the talk of a perpetual liar and see who he blames and why he thinks insuring 40-50 million more people will not send us more in debt.

Speaking of debt the DEMS in Congress are raising the debt level restriction from 12 TRILLION to 13 TRILLION. They are wanting to increase our debt by another TRILLION and the PREZ has not been honest enough to declare that his healthcare plan will cost another TRILLION. The INTEREST on the debt is hundreds of billions each year.

Investors Business Daily

If you don't get the free Investors Business Daily e-letter you should. The cartoons alone are priceless. Today's is especially relevant to my previous post. They say a picture is worth a thousand words...this proves it. Copy the following link and you'll understand.

http://ibdeditorials.com/cartoons.aspx
The Prez was in Cincy over the weekend with his Union buddies promoting his healthcare plan because it doesn't matter since the union has a special exemption from the Gov't plan anyway and the union bosses are in the tank for the Prez and the union leader of the AFL-CIO at the event said that "we need to keep the insurance companies honest". My question is : When have the unions ever been touted as honest? Another question. Is the Prez being honest when he says that we can add 40 - 50 million more to the healthcare rolls and the Gov't will SAVE money and that if we don't pass healthcare then our economy will be destroyed. The Prez is doing that without the addition of healthcare reform.

The Prez talked tough around his cronies and talks about the "lies" and the "Special interest" who oppose his plans. Remember that this all started as Health care reform and now it is "let us destroy the evil insurance companies" and call it reform. We saw this in 1993 when Hillary Clinton said she didn't want some little person at the insurance company determining her healthcare needs (or similar statement). I thought from that moment that any insurance company employee who would support such vindictiveness and an obvious attempt to singlehandedly destroy their industry wasn't operating on all cylinders. I still think it because there is no rational reason to turn over the best healthcare system in the world to the federal gov't who has shown a capacity to effectively run anything. Blessings .
Our President known in the future as the Prez was in Cincy Ohio yesterday before a pro Prez crowd thus showing his strength and baring his teeth like a cowardly lion as he called the Tea Party people and the elderly and other concerned citizens and all who oppose him as liars. I will have more later as I discuss the fact that he basically hates the 'evil" insurance companies and believes the "Big G" can do better and be more efficient. I just spoke to a G'ment employee who told me he recognizes everyday how inefficient the G'ment is...more later

Let us look at "Healthcare Reform" which is NOW "Health Insurance Companies Reform" and God only knows what it will be in the future. I am a Health Insurance Company employee. I need to disclose this fact and also say that I speak not for my company or any company. I speak for myself. I will discuss later the fact that the "public option" which are code words by the present administration for " Government Run Healthcare" . They do not think we are smart enough to know what they mean. The Gov't wants to run our entire healthcare system. The gov't runs or has run a lot of things, Medicare, Social Security, the Post Office , Freddie Mae and Fannie Mac - to name some that are in terrible financial straits. The Gov't runs a lot of things in the ground, into bankruptcy and into oblivion it just doesn't run things well. Look at the flaws, overpayments (i.e to people in prison) and the added & needed new gov't employees if they take over 1/6 of our nations economy. More workers, more payrolls, MORE TAXES. More will be discussed later...
This is the first comment on my blog where my purpose will be to give my opinions about the issues we are facing in this country. I will be open with you in that I feel the greatest two issues facing us now are those of "Health Care Reform" and "Cap and Trade". These will not be the only issues discussed here but are a great place to start. I will link other Opinion Editorial (OpEd) pieces and videos that will help to shed light on the issues that face us as Americans. In otherwise I will have a chance to vent. Blessings on you all and God Bless America!
